Today we're making something special – dumplings in creamy mushroom sauce, but not in a regular kitchen, instead on the grill! Follow the instructions below and prepare a delicious dish that will surprise everyone.

Instructions:

  1. Starting the Grill
    As usual, begin by lighting the grill. This time, remove the heat shields because we’ll be placing the pot directly over the coals. This will give the dish a nice smoky flavor.
  2. Boiling the Dumplings
    Take the cast iron pot and place it on the grill. Add water to the pot and bring it to a boil. Add the dumplings and cook them for about 6-7 minutes. If you prefer, you can pre-cook the dumplings on the stove in your kitchen. Once the dumplings are cooked, drain the water and remove the dumplings from the pot using heat-resistant gloves, as the pot will be very hot.
  3. Making the Sauce
    Put the pot back on the grill and pour oil into the bottom. Heat the oil and add the previously chopped onion and bouillon cube. Sauté the onion lightly and let the bouillon cube dissolve. Then add the mushrooms and cook them for a few minutes. Add the entire package of heavy cream and the cooked dumplings. Let the dish simmer for a moment to allow the flavors to meld and the sauce to achieve the perfect consistency.
  4. Serve and Enjoy
    Serve the dumplings in creamy mushroom sauce immediately while hot. This dish is perfect for enjoying with family or serving to guests.

Sometimes dumplings in sauce aren’t to everyone’s taste, but don’t worry—our pot lid also doubles as a skillet! This way, you can fry the dumplings instead. A two-in-one solution!

If you want a light smoky flavor, add a smoking block to the coals. During boiling or when the dumplings are in the sauce, keep the grill lid closed for a few minutes. This will give the dumplings a pleasant smoky taste.
