Using the infrared thermometer:
The infrared thermometer will only work when the probe is in the closed position. To turn on the thermometer, press the IR button. Hold the button down for the thermometer to measure the temperature. If you release the button, the thermometer will show the last measured temperature for 15 seconds before the screen turns off.
The infrared sensor of the thermometer has a 5:1 ratio, which means that when measuring at a distance of 5 cm, the thermometer measures the temperature of an area with a diameter of 1 cm. The thermometer is more accurate the closer you measure the temperature. The accuracy of the thermometer also depends on the air temperature surrounding the thermometer – the smaller the difference between the outside air and the measured surface, the more accurate the thermometer is.
Please note that the thermometer is not intended to measure body temperature.
Using the foldable probe:
Unfold the probe and insert the tip of the probe into the center of the food to be measured. Wait a few seconds to get an accurate temperature reading. The thermometer screen backlight lights up for 30 seconds. The thermometer turns itself off after 3 minutes. To turn the thermometer back on, press the Mode button.
Cleaning:
Clean the thermometer regularly. The infrared thermometer sensor is very sensitive and must always be kept clean. Use a cotton or similar soft cleaning cloth for cleaning.
